You might not know how many Californians are present in Columbus. Our deputies and bishop are here, but also a great number of folks who are here to support the work of convention, to promote ministries, to assist with the art and liturgy of worship. In fact, this photo probably represents about 50% of the folks in Columbus from the Diocese of California.
The Presiding Bishop-elect, Katharine Jefferts Schori, is an alum of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, where she also serves on the Board of Trustees. On Sunday night CDSP held a reception for alumni and those with ties to the seminary. Here, Jefferts Schori and Rod Dugliss, Dean of the School for Deacons, have a joy-filled moment.

At the CDSP event, the Presiding Bishop-elect spent some time with the Bishop-elect of California. For those in attendance, the presence of both Jefferts Schori and Andrus was a time for celebration.
