ArtSFest 2006, the annual citywide, multi-genre “Celebration of the Arts” will be represented at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco’s landmark cathedral on Nob Hill, by three events in May—Hunab Ku Electronic Music Trilogy, Handel and Haydn with the Grace Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys, and Tibetan Bell Experience—music from three traditions, from ancient to the future.
On Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m., Cobalt Sun in association with California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) presents Hunab Ku Electronic Music Trilogy, a three-part work of deep space music, atmospheric landscapes, and mystery performed by noted Bay Area electronic composer Dwight Loop, with visuals from light artist Lynn Augstein. Hunab Ku, the supreme god and creator of the Maya, rebuilt the world after three deluges, which poured from the mouth of a sky serpent. Tickets are $15 online or at the door ($10 with Arts Pass). www.ArtSFest.org.
