What do we take away from the 2006 General Convention regarding implications for the future mission of the church? This course will explore important questions of identity, resources, context and ministry – what the church is, what it cares about, where it wants to go, and how it thinks it can get there. Discussion topics include leadership, liturgy, education and formation, financial realities, multicultural issues, sexuality, and the Anglican Communion.

Taught by Donn Morgan, President and Dean, Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP), and guest speakers The Rev. Dr. Katherine Lehman. The Rev. Jerry Drino, and The Rev. Dr. David Gortner.

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., July 31 -- August 4

WHERE: Classes will be held at the newly renovated Easton Hall Conference Center, on the CDSP campus, 2451 Ridge Road, Berkeley, Calif.

Information: Participants may earn three Continuing Education Units per course. No academic credit will be awarded. Course tuition is $295. Housing and meal plans are available.
