The recently published "Gospel of Judas" has raised many questions about the role of Judas Iscariot in the death of Jesus. Traditionally he has been seen as the betrayer but this ancient text tells a different story. On three Tuesdays (June 13, 20, 27, 7-9 PM) we will gather at St. Anselm's Church, 682 Michael Lane in Lafayette, to read translations of the Judas codex, consider what the Bible tells us about Judas, learn about different sects in the early church, and how the traditional church teaching was formed by responding to controversy.
